The high shear forces mobilize those substances in the pipeline and reliably carry them out.<\/p>\n<p>In the case of unexpected events, for example if extraneous water enters the drinking water installation, the causes of the contamination must first be eliminated. This is followed by intensive cleaning of the entire system by means of pulse rinsing, often in combination with disinfection.<\/p>\n<p>For pipelines with nominal diameters of DN 80 and larger, flushing with water or flushing compressors is not sufficient. Compared to these pipelines, standpipes have smaller nominal diameters.
